- Good things come to those who wait
After four years of pitching their brand of service, MedExpress Drugstore is now part of the Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) family. The CSMC community warmly welcomed its newest outpatient pharmacy as it officially opened its doors on April 28 to the public.
“Today is a milestone as far as MedExpress is concerned,” Robert J. Lim, MedExpress Drugstore president and general manager, said. “They said good things [go] to the people who wait and I waited for four years…MedExpress [has] garnered so much experiences that all of those learnings now will become part of the MedExpress here [at CSMC], which can only bring more good things [as compared before] when I was still selling the idea [to CSMC].”
According to Lim, MedExpress is the only drugstore that provides medication counseling through its licensed pharmacists, who man each one of its branches. They also keep a detailed record of a patient’s profile that is highly confidential to document the patient’s medication history, which they use as reference to detect potential adverse drug reactions.
The patients also have the option to refund the excess amount of their purchases if proven higher, compared to other leading drugstores.
“We are, indeed, lucky that we have MedExpress as our partner,” lawyer Pilar Nenuca P. Almira, CSMC president and CEO, said. “MedExpress is technology-driven. It can do many services and conveniences, and [it has] tools of communication that no other partner can provide and we have seen their commitment…
It is leading in its field and, indeed, it is a privilege to be partnering with a leader because we are also challenged to be a leader as we are chosen by a leader.” she added.
CSMC’s outpatient MedExpress hospital pharmacy is at the ground floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Building 2. MedExpress Drugstore is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6p.m.
