POONCH, May 20: Member Legislative Council, Dr Shehnaz Ganai today provided an ambulance out of her Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to a Primary Health Centre in Loran for the benefit of people of the area.
The ambulance was handed over to the Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti in the presence of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Baljeet Singh Pathania, officials of health department besides Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals of the area.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Dr Ganai assured the people of all the support in further expansion and upgradation of health infrastructure in the far flung Loran. She also assured the public that shortage of medical staff in Loran would be made up on priority basis and asked the Director Health Services to provide X-Ray facilities in this far flung area. She also asked Dr Pathania to release the salary of ASHA workers in the district.
Later, Dr Ganai along with Dr Pathania also visited SDH Mandi and took stock of the medical facilities being provided there besides inspection of ongoing works. They also interacted with people at Mandi and gave patient hearing to their grievances.
