It’s time to make the right career choice

The Hindu career guidance and counselling session is here to offer help on it

The annual career guidance and counselling session organised by The Hindu Education Plus will be held at DVS Rangamandira on the campus of DVS Samsthe here on May 23.

The programme is being organised by The Hindu Education Plus to help students, who have passed the second year Pre-University Course in the Science stream make a shrewd choice of career they want to pursue. The general education experts will enlighten the students on the wide range of career opportunities during the programme.

In addition, officials from the Karnataka Examination Authority, including its Executive Director Sushma Godbole, will provide a detailed information on counselling and seat allotment process involved in the admission to professional courses for students, who have appeared for the Common Entrance Test(CET).

The participants can take home a free copy of ‘The Next Step’, a compilation of well-researched articles on recent trends in education and emerging career options. The handbook will be released by Ms. Godbole. Entry for the programme is for free. Students, who have passed II PUC in Science stream, those pursuing SSLC, PUC and their parents can attend.

V.L.S. Kumar, dentist and a member of the South Asia Disaster Response Team of The International Red Cross, will be the Chief Guest. K.S. Gangadhar, professor at Shivamogga Institute of Medical Sciences, will respond to queries related to medical education and Srinivas Rao Kunte, principal of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering will have an interactive session with students on engineering education. The programme will commence at 9.30 a.m.
