Opera Software, through Radek Rzepecki, has announced today the immediate availability for download of a new stable version of the Opera 29 web browser for all supported operating systems, including Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.

Being based on Chromium 42.0.2311.152, the Opera 29.0.1795.60 update is here to fix a minor issue with URL selections on the Mac OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite) operating system, as users reported that text was not selected when clicking on the address field.

Another issue related to the Adobe Flash plugin has been repaired for Mac OS X users, as they reported video freeze problems when using Netscape Plugin Application Programming Interface (NPAPI) in full-screen mode. Opera 29.0.1795.60 updates the Flash plugin to the latest version available.

"We updated Opera for computers today. This update includes chromium update to version 42.0.2311.152 and a couple of bug fixes for Mac platform," says Radek Rzepecki, Mac tester for Opera Software. "Please feel free to let us know if you find any problems."

As usual, it is recommended to update your Opera installation as soon as possible. You can download Opera 29.0.1795.60 for Mac OS X, Linux, and Microsoft Windows systems right now via Softpedia or directly from the application's website.
