Conference: Importance of learning culture stressed

The theme of the conference was ‘Building a Sustainable Learning Culture’

KARACHI: Habib Metro Bank CEO Sirajuddin Aziz has said that the learning process in an organisation should ideally begin early and continue consistently. Speaking at the third Annual Learning Conference organised by Pakistan Society for Training and Development (PSTD), he said any learning experience one acquires, is due to the encouragement from one’s parents, teachers and managers. Bank Alfalah Group HR Head Faisal Farooq Khan emphasising the importance of a deep-rooted learning culture said, “Give time and importance to helping people achieve what they want. Time management, learning and strategy are just a cog in the machine.” The theme of the conference was ‘Building a Sustainable Learning Culture’ with an emphasis on learning and development at the personal level as part of organisational strategy.
