Three of family die in road accident at Tarapur

VADODARA/ Anand: Three persons of a family, including an eight-year-old girl, died in a road accident on Tarapur-Vataman highway in Anand district on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the accident between a motorcycle and a truck occurred around 11 am on Tuesday near Fatehpura crossroad in Anand's Tarapur taluka where a fast moving truck rammed into a motorcycle.
The accident resulted in death of three residents of Fadera village of Ahmedabad's Dhandhuka taluka. They were travelling on the motorcycle.
After the truck collided with the motorcycle, all three persons including Vikram Bharwad, 35, his wife Mina Bharwad, 33, and daughter Rajal Bharwad, 8, got seriously injured. While mother-daughter duo died on the spot, Vikram died on his way to the hospital.
Sources said that the family was on its way to a hospital in Tarapur when it met with the fatal accident. The truck driver fled from the spot immediately after the accident.
Tarapur police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
