Gold jewellery stolen from house

MOHALI: Five persons broke into the house of a Mullanpur resident and stole gold items on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Police sources said Jaswinder Singh, the house owner, heard knocks on the door.
The accused claimed to be policemen.
But when Jaswinder refused to allow them entry, the accused broke the door.
They demanded his wife to hand over all gold jewellery lying in the house.All of them were armed with sharp-edged and blunt weapons.
The police have registered a criminal case against the accused under sections 458, 459 and 34 of the IPC.
