Camp for scheduled vaccinations

The Health Department will be holding a special drive from May 21 to May 29 to administer all ‘scheduled vaccinations’ to children aged below two years.

Deputy Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine N. Ragupathy told The Hindu that the programme was aimed at administering vaccines to children for Hepatitis-B, H-infuenza, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, whooping cough, measles and tetanus, among a few other diseases.

The vaccines would be administered through 722 designated centres and 43 mobile units from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
