AHMEDABAD: After 3,685 HSC students were caught for exam malpractices on camera in Anand, another 1,950 SSC students have been captured copying on CCTV footage.
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) officials said that of these 1,950 cases, 1,600 students were involved in mass copying according to CCTV footage, while the rest have been captured on videos from tablets covering exam centres.

Board officials said show-cause notices has been issued to 39 examination hall supervisors and building conductors.
For HSC general stream mass copying, the board issued show-cause notices to 78 teachers and building conductors asking them to elaborate on why action should not be taken against them for allowing such blatant mass copying while they were supervising the exams.
Board officials said for the HSC (science) exams, 41 students were physically caught copying by supervisors of which cases were registered against 39.
In HSC (general) stream, 390 students were caught copying of which 253 students were proven to have copied, 110 remained absent at the board hearing and 14 students were proven innocent.
