ADM flags off mass information campaign

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rajesh Kumar Maria today launched the ‘Punarjagaran’ campaign of the Government of India by showing the green flag to tableaus at the municipal park. Under the programme, volunteers of the Nehru Yuvak Mandal will educate and inform people living in 100 panchayats of the district of various developmental and welfare schemes of the Central and state governments.

He said 50 volunteers of the Nehru Yuvak Mandal had been selected for the campaign, which had been divided into three road routes. The first information campaign will cover 31 panchayats between Bharwain near Chintpurni and Saloh in Haroli block, while the second will cover 36 panchayats between Amb and Santoshgarh and the third part of the campaign will be between Bangana and Ajauli, covering 33 panchayats.

Maria said ignorance of various developmental and social welfare schemes of the government often resulted in the benefits not reaching real beneficiaries.

Dr Shantanu Shah, district coordinator of the Nehru Yuvak Mandal, was also present.
