On-Screen Love Triangles

Love stories are often more interesting when there is a ‘third’ person involved. Our television shows are full of such romantic triangles. This third angle can make or break the couple’s love. Where does these ‘On-Screen Love Triangles’ will go? Let’s take a guess:
Ravi- Devika- Saket: Kalash..Ek Vishwaas
Devika (Aparna Dixit) is engaged to Saket (Mahesh Shetty) against her wish. Ravi (Krrip Suri) and Devika cross paths with each other on numerous occasions.Though they are not aware, both feel some connection with the other. Will Devika’s marriage with Saket take her away from Ravi? Or is this a temporary arrangement created by some ‘mighty power’ to erase Saket’s vicious entity?

Pragya- Abhi- Tanu: Kumkum Bhagya
Rockstar Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) gets married to geeky professor Pragya (Sriti Jha) just to please his family in Zee’s hit TV show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’. Abhi’s ex-girlfriend Tanu (Leena Jumani) is hopeful that eventually Abhi will divorce Pragya for her. As the time passes, Abhi falls for Pragya’s warm-hearted, honest, loveable personality. Will Tanu allow Abhi and Pragya to start their life afresh?

Viraj-Nisha-Kabir: Nisha Aur Uske Cousins
The show started with Nisha’s (Aneri Vajani) one sided love towards Viraj (Taher Mithaiwala). When we were expecting the love story to end in ‘happily ever after’ there comes a twist. Kabir (Mishkat Varma) enters Nisha’s life. To save a NRI child, Kabir and Nisha get into the contract marriage. No one in the family is aware of their contract marriage. Viraj soon realizes his feelings for Nisha and tries to woo her back. Will Viraj get successful in winning Nisha back? Or the situation will develop a new link between Nisha and Kabir? It will be interesting to watch who finally wins Nisha – True blue royal blooded Viraj or easygoing Kabir?

Ragini - Lakshya- Swara: Swaragini
A show about two girls, Swara (Helly Shah) and Ragini (Tejaswi Wayangankar) trying to bring their estranged parents together with the help of their friend Lakshya (Namish Taneja) . Swara is free-spirited girl who believes in modern thinking whereas Ragini is traditional at heart. Lakshya comes into their life at the same time. Swara sees him as a spoilt rich kid. While for Ragini, Lakshya is her first love, with whom she dreams of sharing her entire life. Lakshya is attracted towards Swara for her care-free attitude. He is aware that Ragini is not a perfect match for him. Swara comes to know of Lakshya’s true feeling towards Ragini. Swara has to choose between her love ‘Lakshya’ and sister ‘Ragini’ who is emotionally dependent on her. Will love help this trio achieve their dreams?

Shagun - Raman- Ishita: Ye Hai Mohabbatein
Shagun and Raman are divorced. Raman is now married to Ishita. After a failed relationship (with Ashok Khanna), Shagun realizes her mistake and now is trying to win Raman back. Using their kids, Adi and Roohi, Shagun tries to create rift between Raman and Ishita. Due to Ishita’s maturity and faith in Raman, Shagun couldn’t accomplish her goal. Karan Patel portrays Raman Bhalla, a man caught in the tangle of his past and present. Divyanka Tripathi as independent yet sensitive Ishitaa, superbly fits the bill. Anita Hassanandani as sexy, ruthless mom Shagun, blends with the character flawlessly. In this love triangle, there is more at stake than just love.

Mihika -Mihir- Rinki: Ye Hai Mohabbatein
‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’ has yet another love triangle in the making besides Shagun-Raman-Ishitaa’s. Mihir has broken all with his ex-girlfriend Mihika, after her marriage to Ashok Khanna. He gets married to Rinki Bhalla, Raman’s sister. As the love between Rinki and Mihir blossoms, it is thawed by Mihika’s sudden appearance in their life. Mihir realizes the truth about Mihika that she sacrificed her love to save his life. Will Mihir remain loyal to Rinki as husband? Or will it rekindle his love for ex-girlfriend Mihika? Mihika Verma as Mihika, Raj Singh Arora as Mihir and Resha Konkar as Rinki do their roles convincingly.

Priyom- Poonam – Lakhan: Begusarai
‘Begusarai’ is incomplete without the mention of love and friendship between lead characters Priyom (Sartaj Gill), Poonam (Shivangi Joshi) and Lakhan (Vishal Aditya Singh). Poonam was engaged to Lakhan who scared her to death. Poonam is comfortable sharing her feelings with childhood friend Priyom. After her marriage with Lakhan is called off, will Poonam take her friendship with Priyom to another level or will give yet another chance to self-important Lakhan?
