During the ongoing three-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement, made as a part of a speech, has received much flak on Twitter. According to reports, Narendra Modi was quoted as saying that, "Earlier you felt ashamed of being born Indian. Now you feel proud to represent the country. Indians abroad had all hoped for a change in government last year." BJP MP Paresh Rawal, who is also working on biopic on the Prime Minister, took to Twitter to express his support for Narendra Modi. He wrote, "If Booting out big corruption,Presenting India as a global power,Development etc is insult..then Yes #ModiInsultsIndia & he must apologise. If prompt response in any emergency, be it floods in J&K, earthquakes in Nepal or crisis in Yemen is an insult..then Yes #ModiInsultsIndia." [sic] However, filmmaker Anubhav Sinha wasn't as happy about the statement. He tweeted, "Speak for yourself Sir.
