Chennai: With search operations yielding no results for the past two weeks, the Government Railway Police (GRP) has sought public help and announced a ‘suitable’ reward to anyone providing information about the missing boy, M. Sridhar (4). Sridhar, who came with his parents from Thoothukudi, went missing from the platform no. 13 in Central Railway station on May 3.

CCTV footages showed the boy walking with a woman wearing red saree and boarding a Nellore bound train. Teams were sent to Nellore, Gummidipoondi and other places where locals reportedly spotted the boy, but he couldn’t be found.

The GRP has now took the social media route and sought information about the child. A separate album 'Help us to Find Sridhar' has also been created in the GRP’s FB page with pictures of the child, the suspected accused and contact details, if found.

Speaking to DC, an officer said "they were working in co-ordination with local police stations apart from railway police along the Nellore route to trace the boy. “Pictures of the child and that of the suspect has been shared with child homes, eateries, tea shops,” the officer added that "if any one spots the boy he or she could contact helpline": 1512 and WhatsApp: 09962500500.
