Girls shine but Dadri boy is district topper

NOIDA: Once again, girls outshone boys in the UP Board examinations for Class X and Class XII, results of which were announced on Sunday.
Of the 19,421 students who appeared in the high school examination this year from Gautam Budh Nagar, 16,121 passed. Clearing their Class X examination were 89.62% girls and 77.4% boys. Chandan Kumar of Sangat Green Inter College in Dadri's Deri Machha, topped the district with 91% marks.
The pass-percentage favoured girls in the intermediate examination as well, with 93.89% girls and 84.42% boys passing. A total of 15,508 students had appeared, of which 13,759 passed. Reena, a student of MC Gopichand College in Bisrakh, topped the district with 92% marks.
Across UP, 83.74% students cleared their Class X examination and 88.83% students were successful in Class XII examination. Technical glitches, however, stalled the results of some students.
