Glendale police are looking for the shooter in a double shooting near Bethany Home Road and 67th Avenue on Sunday morning.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., several adults were involved in a verbal altercation at an apartment complex parking lot, Glendale police spokesperson Tracey Breeden said.

At some point during the argument, the shooter displayed a firearm and shot two men, she said.

Two 24-year-old men were treated for gunshot wounds at the scene and later transported to area hospitals.

One sustained life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical but stable condition later in the day, Breeden said.

The suspect is described by police as a Black male in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, shorts and a baseball cap, police said.

Breeden said the shooter fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

The investigation remains ongoing and Glendale police continue to search the area for the suspect.
