BEDGEAR Launches We Fit 2 Cure With Support of the Seena Magowitz Foundation

Furniture World News Desk on 5/16/2015

Bedgear™ recently announced the launch of We Fit 2 Cure™, an initiative dedicated to supporting charitable organizations, both in the local Long Island community and nationwide. As the philanthropic arm of bedgear’s Sleep Fuel foundation, We Fit 2 Cure will lend its support through a range of activities including fundraising, volunteerism, and donations.

“Philanthropy is a cornerstone of bedgear’s company values, and a personal passion of mine, so it’s an exciting time for us to finally launch We Fit 2 Cure,” said Eugene Alletto, founder and CEO of bedgear. “Through this initiative, we look forward to actively supporting those charitable organizations that are making a significant impact in the lives of others.”

The Seena Magowitz Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes pancreatic cancer awareness, early detection, advocacy and provides funding for scientific and medical research, will be the first organization to benefit from We Fit 2 Cure’s launch. From May 14th – May 30th, We Fit 2 Cure will donate 100% of proceeds from online sales at www.bedgear.com using a dedicated code to the Seena Magowitz Foundation.

“One of my early mentors in the home furnishings industry succumbed to pancreatic cancer, so this cause is one very close to my heart,” said Alletto. “With We Fit 2 Cure, bedgear is proud to support the efforts of the Seena Magowitz Foundation in the hopes of one day eradicating this devastating disease that affects so many people.”

In support of the launch, bedgear will design a limited edition, performance pillowcase in the organization’s signature purple color and will include the patented Dri-Tec® and Air-X® fiber technologies that provide a cooler, drier sleep environment. The custom pillowcases will be gifted to attendees at the 13th Annual Seena Magowitz Golf Classic, held on May 14th & 15th at the Omni Orlando Resort in Champions Gate, Florida. The annual golf tournament has successfully raised millions of dollars in funding for pancreatic cancer research at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), a non-profit biomedical research organization.

For its next charitable partnership in June, We Fit 2 Cure will support the Nassau County Habitat for Humanity, with bedgear employee volunteers helping to build a new home for a deserving family in Hempstead, New York.
