Five to watch

Fahid Ben Khalfallah

Victory's winger has the ability to do the incredible. A great finisher, but it's his unselfish play that makes him so useful. Combining with Gui Finkler, he can carve open defences.

Milos Dimitrijevic

The central midfielder is the fulcrum of Sydney FC's possession-based play. His first touch isn't to control the ball, but to open up space, a rare trait in the A-League. Besart Berisha

The bigger the game, the better he gets. The fiery Albanian striker relishes the big occasions though can sometimes become overawed by them.

Alex Brosque

Sydney's captain has found form at the right time and is seemingly unstoppable at the moment. His guidance will likely convert to goals in the decider.

Bernie Ibini

If there's an entertainer in Sydney's team, it's winger Bernie Ibini. He can score with both feet from close range and from distance.

The key battle

Fahid Ben Khalfallah v Seb Ryall

The match-up down Victory's left flank could be pivotal. Their best attacking player, Ben Khalfallah, will no doubt be their go-to man and the ability of Sydney FC full-back, Ryall, to contain him will be all that will stop him. Ryall is a target for the Victory boo-boys and he must handle his temper as well as the Tunisian international.

In the dugout

Kevin Muscat

It took a lot of wisdom for young coach Muscat to decide to change little once he finally got the top job at Melbourne Victory and that has paid off for him just one game away from a title. Already crowned A-League coach of the year, there's one more crown Muscat wants to get over a fierce rival.

Graham Arnold

Don't understate the task Arnold faced in rebuilding Sydney FC's squad mid-season. He has turned the club into the form team of the competition and is riding a wave of confidence heading to Melbourne. This, however, could be his biggest task.
