Scuffle between police, madrassa students during protest against Pervaiz Rasheed

The police in reaction registered a case against dozens of students and detained five of them.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Scuffle broke out between police and madrassa students today (Saturday) when they were prevented by the officials to display banners against Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed, Dunya News reported.

According to police, students of Jamia Mohammadia were displaying banners against the conflicting reamrks of Pervaiz Rasheed when the police stopped them on which both the parties engaged in a brawl as a result of which sub-inspector of Abpara police station got injured.

The police in reaction registered a case against dozens of students and detained five of them including a madrassa teacher Zahoor Alvi whereas operation is underway to nab more students.
