KARACHI:

Despite passing of three days of the horrific firing incident on the Ismaili community bus in Karachi, no FIR has been registered yet.

“So far, no case has been registered,” said Sacchal DSP Qamar Ahmed on Friday. The case will be registered after the complainant will approach the police, he added.

The police investigators did not find any major breakthrough from the geo-fencing and forensics of the ballistics. However, they have been able to make sketches of at least three suspects involved in the attack, which claimed at 45 lives, with the help of survivors.

A group of armed militants on Wednesday targeted the bus carrying over 50 passengers and shot them one-by-one, mostly in their heads with the 9mm pistols.

The police have also recorded the statements of the survivors. One of them told the police that a total eight attackers were behind the incident. Law enforcement agencies have so far arrested more than 350 suspects.

Sam | 8 years ago | Reply Seriously? Now you have to follow the red tape to lodge an FIR? If police force has followedproper rules on everything and do their jobs this massacre would have not happened. Someone should file FIR against police itself for not being able to apprehend culprits in police dress.
