MUMBAI: In two separate incidents, a commuter was run over by a train at Mahim station while another got electrocuted on Friday evening.
In the first incident, a person was electrocuted at a Harbour line platform at 6.30. The man was rushed to Sion hospital, where his condition was said to be serious.
In the second incident, a few minutes later, a person crossing the track got run over by a train on the Churchgate-bound fast track.

A senior WR official said, "The body got mangled in the train because of which the train got delayed for 50 minutes. During this period, trains had to diverted on the slow track Santacruz onwards. As many as 10 trains were cancelled because of the incident. WR trains were running late by 20 minutes."
WR said rooftop travelling has come to nought on the WR's main line after the administration decided to remove the ladder attached at the rear end of the compartment.
He said, "The electrocution incident happened on the Harbour line, where trains are maintained by Central Railway, which has not yet removed the ladders."
The official said the man was electrocuted when the train was switching from 1500 V direct current to 25KV alternating current.
Mumbai Central GRP, under whose jurisdiction Mahim station falls said, "Identity in both these cases have not been established yet."
