JOHANNESBURG. — Ajax Cape Town are not the only club interested in signing former AmaZulu captain Carlington Nyadombo, according to the player’s agent Mike Makaab.

Nyadombo’s contract is expiring in June, with his last few days at Moses Mabhida Stadium clouded by a fall-out with the relegated club’s management, who suspended him for alleged dishonesty.

However, the Zimbabwean defender appears to be in demand despite last playing on February 15 against Bloemfontein Celtic.

“There is an interest from Ajax but there are other clubs as well that have expressed an interest,” Makaab said.

Kulegani Madondo is another AmaZulu player whose contract runs its course next month. Makaab says the ex-Maritzburg United midfielder’s future may be clearer next week.

“Listen, it is impossible for me to comment about AmaZulu players, squarely because they are having a meeting with the management next week Wednesday,” says Makaab.

“And until such time I know the outcome of that meeting it is impossible for me to comment now.”

Madondo made 10 starts and 11 substitute outings in the League this season. — KickOff.com.
