Kanchi Singh in a car accident

Kanchi Singh, better known as Avni in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, was summoned to Bangur Nagar police station, after she rammed her vehicle into another car near a mall in Malad at around 2 am.
The accident took place when the actress was returning home from a friend’s birthday party. She apparently even slapped the driver of the other car used by a call centre, accusing him of reckless driving.The cops reached the spot and took her to a nearby hospital for alcohol test, where it was found out that she wasn’t drunk driving.

Her parents, who reached the spot, accompanied her to the police station later. Says a source from the police station, “The other driver fractured two of his fingers because of the impact of the accident. He was in no mood to let go of the actress and demanded a suitable compensation. However, the two parties eventually sorted the matter amicably.”
Kanchi left for home at around 6.30 am. We contacted the actress, who agreed that she met with an accident and claimed that she wasn’t at fault, “I honked, but the driver didn’t bother to stop and sped instead. As a result, I banged my car into his. Such reckless driving can claim lives and hence, I slapped him. We were taken to the police station, but the matter was sorted amicably.”
