Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar appears before Mumbai court in driver's murder case

Kaskar told the court that he was resting in his house at the time of the incident. He heard people shouting and was informed that there had been a firing. When he came down from his house, he saw a blood stain on the stairs and an empty cartridge.

Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's younger brother Iqbal Kaskar deposed in the special MCOCA court at Mumbai as a witness on Friday.

Kaskar's driver Arif Sayed was shot dead in 2011 right outside a house which used to be the bastion of D gang led by Dawood himself. The shootout had happened on the ground floor of Kaskar's residence on Pakmodia Street in south Mumbai.

Kaskar told the court that he was resting in his house at the time of the incident. He heard people shouting and was informed that there had been a firing. When he came down from his house, he saw a blood stain on the stairs and an empty cartridge.

Chota Rajan, Dawood's arch-rival, is believed to be behind this shoot out. His close aide DK Rao was arrested in the case along with few others.

Kaskar himself is facing an extortion case and is currently out on bail.
