French And Spanish Tourists Missing In Mount Rinjani

Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, May 15 (Antara) - The Mataram Search and Rescue Team (Basarnas) said it had received report that French and Spanish tourists Patric Lehman and Joan are missing in Mount Rinjani , the island of Lombok, West Nusatenggara. Basarnas spokesman Putu Cakra said the agency received the report from the families of the missing foreign tourists via telephone from Jakarta on Thursday. "They asked for help to look for Lehman and Joan," Putu said. He said the two climbed the mountain without official procedure that Basarnas was not aware of their plan and when they started climbing. "They might not even have guide. If they have one most likely they would not lose their way," he said. Cakra said it was difficult where to start looking for them as no one knew where they started climbing. Baqsarnas, however, has divided the team into two, each made up of 10 men to start from the track via the Sembalun entrance gate and another from the track via the Senaru entrance gate, he said.
