DNB-CET July 2015: Dates of exam released

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the dates of Diplomate of National Board Centralised Entrance Test (DNB-CET 2015). The entrance exam will be conducted from July 1 to July 4.

DNB-CET is conducted for admission to several post-graduate programmes which include direct six year programmes specialising in Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery for the July 2015 session.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidates who have an MBBS degree/provisional pass certificate recognised according to the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and also having a permanent/provisional registration certificate of MBBS that has been issued by the Medical Council of India are eligible for the exam. The candidates must also have completed an year's internship or must be likely to complete their internship by 31 July, 2015.

How to apply:

The interested and eligible candidates can apply online. The registration fee is Rs 4,500 and can be paid via credit card, debit card or net banking.

Paper pattern:

The exam is exclusively a computer-based test consisting of 300 multiple choice questions having a single correct answer. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The test will be in the English language.
