Nagpur shooters excel at Inter-School State Championship

NAGPUR: City shooters excelled in the Inter-School State Shooting Championship held at recently at Balewadi Sports Complex near Pune.
Army Public School's Bhanu Pratap Singh claimed gold medal in the boys U-14 air pistol category. Apoorva Dhulaj, a student of Shivaji Science Junior College, bagged silver medal in the U-19 air rifle girls section. Both Apoorva and Bhanu Pratap were selected in the state squad for the the forthcoming Inter-School Nationals.
Nagpur's U-19 girls team of three shooters -- Apoorva Dhulaj, Nikita Choudhary and Vinisha Nitnaware finished second in the team event.
Aayush Jadhav (Hislop College), Madhur Pendari, Atharva Fender (both Prahaar), Pratik Nayyar (CPS Dhaba), Vedprakash Gajbhiye (RGPS), Shardul Ayachit (St Xavier's ), Ansh Kature (CDS ), Abhishek Wankar (Pt Bacchraj School), Prashant Shinde (Tuli Public School) notched up some useful points in the same event.
All these successful shooters train under coach Anil Pande at the Orange City Sports Shooting Club.
