GURGAON: Construction work on Manesar-Palwal section of the KMP expressway has begun and will be completed within nine months, industries and commerce minister Capt Abhimanyu said on Thursday.
Rest of the expressway will take nearly 30 months to be finished. Abhimanyu was speaking at a conference on manufacturing, organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Gurgaon.
He said the entire expressway will have 6 lanes against the original plan of 4 lanes to meet the growing demand.
The minister also announced that Haryana’s new industrial policy is ready and will be released within next 10 days. Abhimanyu said the BJP government was focusing on transparency and structural reforms to facilitate entrepreneurship.
The minister said Haryana is land of opportunities and practices of nepotism and corruption will be curbed to improve the business climate. All government services are being shifted online for ease and transparency. “An applicant will be able to track his file online, and in case of undue delay, it will considered ‘deemed clearance’,” said Abhimanyu.
“The industrial plots will now be allotted through e-tendering and the allotment procedure will be completely corruption-free,” he added.
