Communal clash in Somnath Mandir fame Prabhas Patan town

Three shops were set on fire during a clash between members of two communities in Prabhas Patan town in the coastal district of Gir-Somnath this evening, police said.
A large number of police personnel were deployed in the town afterwards, said inspector B G Sarvaiya.
“At least three shops in the main market were set on fire by the mob. We have deployed our men across the town. We are now patrolling in that area and the situation is under control,” he said.
The cause of the clash was not known yet. According to police, the entire market shut down after the clash started at around 8pm.
“There is no report of any casualties,” said inspector Sarvaiya.
