1 Pellets at pigeons. The neighbor of a man who lives in the 10100 block of Garfield Circle, Thornton, called police April 18 because they saw the man shooting a pellet gun off his back porch at a flock of pigeons. The suspect handed the weapon over to police.

2 I do what I want. A police officer caught a teenager who only had a learner’s permit racing other cars in the area of 85th Avenue and Pecos Street in Federal Heights. He told her not to drive without an adult again. A few hours later, the officer stopped the same girl in that car for cruising around with three friends. She was arrested April 18.

3 Free roamers. A patrolling officer noticed three dogs running around a field near Colorado Boulevard and Thornton Parkway in Thornton. After some time, the dogs’ owner found them and was given a summons April 14.

4 Keep it down. After getting into an argument with his girlfriend outside their home in the 9100 block of Rampart Street, Federal Heights, a man went outside and started yelling and punching the side of his house April 17. The ruckus woke the neighbors, so he was ticketed.

5 Rude awakening. Police responded to a home in the 12800 block of Forrest Way, Thornton, because a woman said her drunken roommate kicked down her bedroom door April 18.

6 Unruly teenager. A woman called police on her 18-year-old son because he kicked in her bedroom door when she asked him to turn down his guitar amplifier April 19. He was arrested from his home in the 2700 block of West 100th Drive, Federal Heights.
