Main accused of BHU case arrested

The main accused involved in molestation bid and robbing a US-based lady doctor on the campus of Banaras Hindu University was arrested on Tuesday night. The police also recovered the IPhone robbed from the lady doctor. The arrested man has reportedly confessed his crime. Two of his aides have already been arrested.

VARANASI: The main accused involved in molestation bid and robbing a US-based lady doctor on the campus of Banaras Hindu University was arrested on Tuesday night. The police also recovered the IPhone robbed from the lady doctor. The arrested man has reportedly confessed his crime. Two of his aides have already been arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, the Lanka police succeeded in arresting the main accused Kallu Yadav alias Anil, resident of Seer Govardhanpur in Lanka police station area.
The police had earlier arrested two of his associates, Narayan Yadav alias Chhangur and Pawan alias Golu, all residents of Seer Gowardhanpur.
One more accused Guddu is still absconding. The lady doctor, who is pursuing PhD in BHU, had faced molestation bid by five persons on the campus on April 22. An FIR was lodged on April 28 at Lanka police station under sections 325, 354, 365, 395 and 511 of IPC.
