Bengaluru: Mekhri Circle sees early morning vehicle pile-up

The accident happened around 5.30 am when a goods tempo rammed into a goods lorry

Bengaluru: A serial accident occurred at the Mekhri Circle underpass on the road connecting the Kempegowda International Airport on Wednesday morning.

The accident involving three vehicles happened around 5.30 am when a goods tempo rammed into a goods lorry that had broken down near the circle. Another van that was coming behind the goods tempo crashed into it.

No one was injured in the accident and it took nearly two hours for the police to clear the spot, the police said. “The traffic was not disrupted as the accident happened on the side of the road. As many road users slowed down to catch a glimpse of the accident spot, the traffic moved a little slow on the road,” said a traffic police officer.

A case has been registered at the Sadashivnagar traffic police station and the police are investigating.
