1. Salman Khan, singer Kamaal Khan and their friends join Sohail Khan at Rain Bar, Juhu, at 11 pm on Sept 27. Its packed, so they move to the bar counter, where Salman orders Bacardi rum, while others order beer, cosmopolitan and wine

2. The group leaves at 1 am. Their bill: Rs 10,000. Rain Bar manager Rizwaan Rakhangi accompanies Salman to his Land Cruiser. Salman, his bodyguard constable Ravindra Patil and others then head to Enigma in JW Marriott

3. Salman leaves Enigma at 2.15 am. Parking attendant Kalpesh Verma hands the car keys to him. After getting inside the car, he tips Verma Rs 500. Salman leaves for his home, Galaxy Apartments, Bandra. Distance: around 12 km

4. Between 2.45 am and 3 am, Salman loses control while taking a turn from St Andrews Road to Hill Road. Constable Patil later tells the first trial judge: “The accused was drunk and driving the car at 90-100 kmph. I told him to slow down."

5. Salman, who injures his wrist in the crash, takes a while to get out of the car even as a crowd screams “Salman uttar gadi se”. Constable Patil urges the people to calm down and alerts the police control room

6. One witness said Salman was so drunk he could barely stand. Salman finally fled. Efforts to rescue the victims trapped under the 3,000-kg SUV went terribly wrong: the hook of the crane lifting the car came off and the vehicle crashed

7. After the victims are rushed to hospitals, the police begin the search for Salman. But he is not at Galaxy Apartments or at his gym behind the complex. Cops also make inquiries at garages. Over 8 hours after the accident, he is found at his lawyer’s office in Almeida Park, Bandra

8. He is formally arrested at the Bandra police station around 11 am on Sept 28. He later said that he himself went to the police station, and was not taken there
