Even if you are not a member of a particular Golf Club, you can still get to learn and play the sport there as per a new initiative by GolfLan Technologies Pvt Ltd.

GolfLan, founded by Dhruv Verma in 2013, will facilitate non-members and golfers to book tee-times and take classes at various clubs through a website.

“The company offers different levels of lessons and coaching for beginners and even players looking to improve their game. It also offers a marketplace for golf equipment, which currently contributes to over 18 per cent of the company’s business,” a press release said.

Verma said the company buys tee-time slots of golf courses in bulk and then sell individual packages to its members depending on their requirements. The current number of golf courses available is close to 400 and more are being added on a daily basis.

“Apart from India, where the base is the biggest, other countries include Middle East, UK, Thailand, China and Turkey and more are being added regularly,” Verma said.
