Is Luna Lovegood dating Harry Potter's dad?

Luna Lovegood might have lost Harry Potter to that pesky Ginny Weasley, but it seems the actress who played her has found her own Potter-related love . . . with Harry's dad.

Fans of the film franchise, which was based on British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling children's book series, are in a frenzy after discovering a series of Instagram posts which suggest that Evanna Lynch, who played Lovegood in the series, is in a relationship with fellow actor Robbie Jarvis, who played Harry's father, James, as a youngster in the series' fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Evidence of the pair being romantically linked is substantial.

Last week, Lynch posted a picture to her Instagram account wishing Jarvis a happy 29th birthday.

In an emoji-filled exchange she shared on the social media app two weeks ago, Lynch appears to refer to Jarvis as her "boyf".

And, although not necessarily romantic in nature, an earlier picture posted by Lynch shows Jarvis with fellow Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the series, at a Harry Potter fan convention, LeakyCon, in 2013.

A glance at Jarvis' Instagram account seems to suggest the pair have been in a relationship since the start of last year. The first picture on his account, posted in January 2014, is a cheeky selfie with Lynch.

In August, Jarvis shared a picture of Lynch playing with his cat.

While, much to the delight of Harry Potter fans, a picture from July shows the two actors donning Hedwig hats, apparently on a tour of London's Warner Bros. Studios, where the popular film franchise was made.

The pair have not responded to the romantic speculation.

It has been a good year for Harry Potter nostalgia.

In March, fans of the series were treated to a mini reunion of cast members Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and James Phelps (Fred Weasley).

Felton shared a picture of the group catching up over drinks, joking that he was "outnumbered" by the Weasley crew.
