Making the most of the repeated adjournments of the Rajya Sabha on Monday, several MPs made a beeline for nominated member Rekha, who put in a brief appearance in Parliament. Some of the MPs had the actor pose with them for photographs and selfies.

Star attraction

Dressed in an off-white saree with a zari border, Rekha entered the House during a 15-minute adjournment over the CAG report on Minister for Road and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s kin and was soon joined by CPI(M) member T.N. Seema.

A little later Union Minister Smriti Irani accompanied Mr. Gadkari to Rekha’s seat and introduced him to the star. Soon after, Renuka Chowdhury, Kumari Selja, Rajani Patil, Vijaylaxmi Sadho, Wansuk Syiem (all Congress), Anu Aga (nominated), A.U. Singh Deo (BJD) walked up to the actor.
