PESHAWAR: A co-producer of Pashto films has announced directing his first Pashto movie to highlight different aspects of the Pakhtun society in a positive manner.

Speaking at a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Monday, Shahid Usman said that shooting of the film, ‘Tezab’ would be started soon.

Flanked by known actor of Pashto movies, Jahangir Khan Jani and Pashto films heroin, Afreen Paree, and other actors, Mr Usman said that his movie would focus different angles of the Pakhtun society.

He said that it would be a quality movie and people of all sections of society could watch it.

On the occasion, actor Jahangir Jani expressed the hope that the new Pashto film would reflect different aspects of Pakhtun society in a positive manner, saying that Mr Usman was a hard worker and his efforts would bear fruit.

He said those working on Pashto movies needed to be supported in order to compete in the field.
