Scoop London to share transport and registration with LFW

Scoop London is to share transport and registration with London Fashion Week to help UK and international buyers attend both events.

The new show from the organisers of womenswear exhibition Scoop will take place at the Saatchi Gallery from September 20-22, with more than 130 exhibitors. London Fashion Week will run from September 18-22 at its new home, the Brewer Street car park in Soho.

Registered buyers for Scoop London and Scoop International will be approved for entry to the Designer Showrooms of LFW and vice versa. There will also be a regular shuttle service running between Scoop London at the Saatchi Gallery and Soho.

Exhibitors already signed up to Scoop London include accessories label Kate Spade, premium footwear brands Karina IK and Cristina Diez, and Irish dress brand Heidi Higgins.

“It will have more of a focus on young, less well-known British designers than Scoop International [which takes place from August 2-4], making up around 60% of the total,” Scoop managing director Karen Radley told Drapers.

“We launched the event because a lot of domestic and international buyers are in town during London Fashion Week. It is a great opportunity to showcase some of our great British designers alongside international labels, such as Italian or American designers, who previously found the end of July or start of August show too early.”

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, which organises LFW, said: “We are delighted that Scoop will take place during London Fashion Week spring 16, as it’s the first time both trade shows will coincide.

“From Chelsea to Soho our aim is to be able to offer all designers the best buyers, press and industry professionals, consolidating London’s position as the most vibrant and innovative fashion capital in the world.”
