Complaint cell mooted

District Congress committee (DCC) president K. Surendran has called on the State government to set up cells to redress complaints about public distribution system in all panchayats as the number of grievances regarding the system is on the increase.

Mr. Surendran, in a press release here, proposed that cells comprising social workers in each village, Civil Supplies officials and ration shop owners be formed to examine the complaints. He said the demand was made at a Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee meeting.
