MANGALURU: Arasinagere in Shikaripura taluk of Shivamogga district recorded maximum rainfall of 43mm in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on May 10. Marali hobli in Gangavathi taluk of Koppal district recorded maximum temperature of 43°C at 2.30pm on May 9. Kalasa hobli in Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 18.2°C at 4.45am on May 10.
More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 21.7% geographical area in the state.
Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 42.1% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 17% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of =2.5mm. Rather heavy rain was recorded in seven gram panchayats; moderate rain in 261 gram panchayats; light rain in 299 gram panchayats; very light rain in 474 gram panchayats; and no rainfall in remaining 3,808 GPs across the state.

Against normal weighted average rainfall of 12.3mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 15.2mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on May 10, four geographical regions received 2mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 1.6mm, a 26% surplus departure from the weighted-average normal.
