The city police have detained two persons under the Goondas Act here on Saturday.
R. Kannan (33) of Ammapet was arrested by the Suramangalam police on April 25 for manufacturing pirated DVDs of newly released Tamil movies.
N. Krishna Kumar alias ‘Pulsar’ Kumar (25) of Nethimedu was arrested by the Annathanapatti police on April 18 for
threatening a man at knife point and robbing
Rs. 630
from him near Kondalampatti Roundtana. Since both of them were found to be involved in continuous crime activities, based on recommendations, City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj detained them under the act.
