Four of robber gang held

A gang of four youngsters, who allegedly planned to commit robberies at gunpoint, was busted by the Special Operations Team of Cyberabad police on Friday.

A 7.65 mm calibre pistol, a knife and car were seized from K. Ravi Kiran (21), U. Bharat Kumar (22), P. Prasad Reddy (22), and P. Bhagirath (21). Kiran, an employee at a toll gate in Cyberabad, ganged up with the other three to commit robberies.

He secured a pistol from Bihar through one Ajay, a native of that State, by paying Rs.1.3 lakh. Prasad conspired to eliminate a man with whose wife he had developed an illicit relationship, SOT Additional DCP E. Ramachandra Reddy said. The gang was nabbed by Inspectors V. Umender and B. Pushpan Kumar.
