ANKARA 

Fenerbahce has narrowly beaten Medicana Sivasspor, 3-2, in an away match at the Turkish Spor Toto Super League to reach the second spot in the league table.

Home team Medicana Sivasspor took the lead in eight minute when Mehdi Taouil scored the opening goal of the game Saturday, 1-0. Just a minute later, Fenerbahce playmaker Diego replied back, 1-1.

Medicana Sivasspor made it two when Brazilian right-back Cicinho found the net from free kick in the 24th minute, 2-1.

Visitors Fenerbahce increased the pressure to make the score even in the second half and their striker Pierre Webo put the ball into the net by smashing it in the area in the 56th minute, 2-2. This goal encouraged Fenerbahce.

Near the end of the game, Fenerbahce managed to comeback after their forward Moussa Sow's late winner, 3-2.

Receiving a critical win in Sivas, Fenerbahce did not drift away from the title race in the league. Yellow Canaries raised their points to 66 in standings and they were now closely following the leaders Galatasaray having 67 points in the match day 30.

Meanwhile, Bursaspor blazed away at Kardemir Karabukspor by an extravagant 7-1 result. Bursaspor's Brazilian striker Fernandao scored four goals in Bursa.
