Brazil's 2002 World Cup-winning manager Luiz Felipe Scolari denied the move towards Chinese Soccer League here on Saturday after his friend disclosed the offer from China.

Scolari has more than two years left on his Gremio contract, but he has been linked with China after a Twitter post from Brazilian journalist Joao Garcia, a close friend of Scolari, on Friday.

"The Chinese are chasing Felipao and have made multimillion-dollar proposals. Win or lose the [Rio Grande do Sul] state championship, he will leave," said Garcia on the social network.

However, after leading Gremio to the final of Rio Grande do Sul state championship by beating Juventude 2-1 in the afternoon, the 66-year-old said he will not leave Gremio although he did receive an offer from China.

"I get a proposal almost every month from China, Qatar and so on, but currently (departure) is not in my thought. If I think about leaving, I have to discuss with my family," said Scolari.

Scolari joined Gremio in August, just weeks after being sacked as Brazil coach following the the team's 7-1 World Cup semifinal defeat to Germany.
