JAMMU, May 8: Rotary Club Jammu organized a special meeting on the occasion of Rotary District Governor’s official visit to the Rotary Club Jammu today.
President of the Club Rakesh Gupta made the welcome address.
Master of the ceremony was performed by Miss Rishika Chauhan. On this occasion the project report was presented by Charter president R K Chauhan. He highlighted the different projects which the Club undertook during 2014-15. The Rotary Club has distributed the breakfast, medicines, woolen shawls among the persons of Kuast Ashram Jammu. The Club has also distributed the woolen clothes along with cups to the senior citizens of the society on the occasion of Lohri festival and on the occasion of Baisakhi festival. Besides, the Club has also distributed the lunch along with clothes and cups among the children of Bal Ashram Ved Mandir. Similar other projects were undertaken by it for the betterment of society and R K Chauhan on behalf of Club promised to undertake other projects which are as per the necessity of the society.
District Governor Gurjeet Sekhon promised the Club president Rakesh Gupta his all support for the projects which the Club will undertake in future.
During the programme district governor and the president honoured the members of the Club for their outstanding performance by presenting the mementos to them. Those who were felicitated included Sanjay Sethi, Suman Jaswal, Rakesh Malhotra, Sanjiv Verma, Sanjay Gupta, Vipin Gupta, Suresh Sethi, Rajesh Aggarwal, Rajni Gupta and Devinder Gupta.
District Governor also awarded Miss Rishika Chauhan for the best MOC performed by her. He also honoured R K Chauhan Charter president. Later all the members of the Club honoured the Club president Rakesh Gupta, Sanjay Sethi, Sanjay Verma and R K Chauhan.
