The Ministry of Civil Affairs on Wednesday has ordered local authorities in Xinyang, Henan Province to investigate the death of a 13-year-old boy found dehydrated at a local aid station last week, Xinhua reported.

The boy went missing in October 2014 and was found at a local aid station at Xinyang by his family on April 23.  Reports said he was found with bruises all over his body. 

The provincial civil affairs department has also sent a team to the city to verify the case while the Xinyang government has set up an investigation team.
