BCA to conduct Under-19 cricket tournament

VADODARA: The Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) will be conducting U-19 Maharaja Fatehsinhrao Gaekwad Inter-district Tournament 2015-16 from May 10, 2015. The tournament will provide competitive match practice to junior budding players of Vadodara. Apart from the local team of Vadodara, seven district teams will be seen in action between May 10 and 18.
BCA officials said that the tournament has been organized to give exposure to the young cricketers so that they develop their cricketing skills for competitive games.The Group A in the tournament consists of teams like Vyara, Navsari, Bilimora and Dabhoi while Group B has Baroda, Mehsana, Patan and Motafofaliya. The matches will be played at Alembic Ground in Vadodara and at grounds in Bilimora and Navsari. The association said that it wants to focus on tapping talent at young age and develop skills for higher level of cricket.
