Director’s Note: Shoojit Sircar: “Piku has got a universal connect because every family is quirky in it’s own way. In this case, Baba and Piku make for one of the craziest families around. The idea was and is to tell a simple story in the most unusual and entertaining fashion that audiences can identify with. This film is also special because I partnered again with my team of Vicky Donor, talented Juhi Chaturvedi and Ronnie Lahiri. The idea of the story came from Juhi and then we developed it. She has enriched the screenplay with her insights. We have created a world that will warm your heart and put a smile on your face. That’s our hope and endeavor!”
