American Steel Leads Pack of New Forza Horizon 2 Cars

Little red Corvette, baby you're much too fast.

American steel leads pack of new Forza Horizon 2 cars

The Alpinestars car pack for Forza Horizon 2 is now available for Xbox One. The pack includes six new cars, including two different Chevy Corvettes.

American autos dominate the pack, with 4 of the 6 cars being pure Detroit steel. The 1953 Chevy Corvette and the 2015 Corvette Z06 represent both the old and the new for Chevrolet's Corvette line, with the original Corvette pushing a mere 160 hp while its younger sibling outputs 650 horses.

The 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and the 1970 AMC Rebel "The Machine" hold down the memory of the American Motors Corporation. While Jeep was, at one point, part of the AMC family, the 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was the final model year for the line under Chrysler's ownership. The Rebel is a great example of American muscle, boasting a 340 hp V-8 and looking like something your dad's cool uncle used to drive.

Audi's 300 hp TTS Coupe and Bugatti's 1992 EB110 Super Sport also join the line up, with the Bugatti being May's free car of the month. The car was built to celebrate the 110th birthday of founder Ettore Bugatti.

The car pack is $5 USD and is available for Xbox One through the Xbox Live store. We gave Forza Horizon 2 a 9.0 in our review, calling it best-in-class when it comes to open-world racers.
