Otherwise known as the Chevy Trax and Opel Mokka, the Holden-badged small crossover SUV is one of the hottest products in the Australian automaker’s lineup. With the Active edition, the Trax from the Land Down Under got better in terms of value for money.
To become available in early May, Holden is describing the Trax Active special edition as the type of car that’s meant to “provide drivers with style and substance to match their busy lifestyles.” If you aren’t impressed by that jibber-jabber, let’s move on to the pricing.

Priced at AUD 24,990 (driveaway price includes dealer delivery, stamp duty, 12-months registration and compulsory third party insurance), the Active builds on the wide array of standard features found on the 2015 Holden Trax LS.

Through “special edition,” Holden actually wants to say that you get some extra equipment for a small premium over the previously mentioned grade. The real treat here is that the automatic transmission is offered free of charge.

Other than the cog swapper, the Trax Active boasts with amenities such as special 17-inch alloy wheels, badging, power sunroof, roof racks and chrome exterior door handles. Bang for the buck, this special edition Trax does make sense.

“Trax Active leads a range of competitive offers available in the Step Up At Holden sale, including the versatile Colorado LS 4X4 Crew Cab and Australia’s Best Car, the VF Commodore SV6 sedan,” declared Peter Keley, Holden’s executive director of sales.

Other than the 1.8-liter petrol-fed powerplant and automatic tranny, the Active boasts a rear parking camera and sensors, the MyLink 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, smartphone apps, Siri Eyes Free integration and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating to keep you out of harm’s way.
