JAMMU, May 5: Lalit Mahajan, a known industrialist has been elected as president while Rakesh Bhat as general secretary of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA).
The elections of the Association for the term 2015-17 were held at BBIA Bhwan here at Bari Brahmana today under the supervision of election commissioners Sanjay Puri, Vishal Gupta, Kuldeep Nayyar and Rajesh Anand. Out of the total 226 votes, 214 votes were polled.
Lalit Mahajan was elected as president, Rahul Bansal as senior vice president, Varun Singla as vice president, Rakesh Bhat as general secretary, P S Jaggi new secretary while Viraaj Malhotra as treasurer of the Association for the next two years.
